On Saturday, Wolfdene played host to Liz Long from Luscious Affairs, who helped us cook up a delicious feast for our community members at our Brompton ‘Around the World Cooking Class’.
Liz, who is well known for her cooking in and around Melbourne – along with her award winning book ‘The Junior Gourmet,’ talked our group through three sumptuous dishes:
· Green Pea and Spinach Soup with Crispy Bacon and Truffle Oil
· Chilli and Garlic Prawn Spaghetti
· Oven baked Asian style chicken breast with sweet potato puree and wok greens
The group all played a role with Liz, who let us in on more than a few insider tips, allowing us to taste the recipes along the way and taught us to plate up like Masterchef professionals. We finished the day by dining on three delicious meals, which we enjoyed in our newly fitted out café. The day was a great success, throughly enjoyed by all and we look forward to hosting many more like it.
