AVA II UDIA Award Winner

Wolfdene’s ‘AVA II’ townhouses received the Award for Excellence in the category of Affordable Housing at the recent Urban Development Institute of Australia’s 2015 Annual Awards.

The architecturally designed two and three bedroom townhouses offer remarkable value for money and a low maintenance alternative to the standard house and land. Located in the heart of the burgeoning South East, the homes are also moments away from the existing shopping and lifestyle amenity of Cranbourne.

“Housing affordability is a big issue in the Melbourne market, this award is recognition of Wolfdene’s commitment to providing housing diversity in the urban growth areas,” says Wolfdene’s Director, Jon Atchison.

“Quality medium density product that mixes design and function with affordability is essential to providing a viable option for price sensitive first home buyers, key workers and downsizers.

“We also acknowledge our responsibility to deliver appealing built form that positively contributes to the neighbourhood environment. From a design perspective, we wanted to bring the architectural quality identifiable with inner city developments to these new communities.

“We are committed to rolling out additional MD sites throughout our full portfolio of master-planned communities,” he said.

Designed in collaboration with award-winning architects SJB, ‘AVA II’ have a Six Star Energy Rating and feature a clever exterior combination of natural and refined finishes.

“AVA II by Wolfdene provides a superior innovative housing style within an area that is not traditionally a medium density market. With a flowing open plan design and an abundance of natural light, AVA II is a value for money and low maintenance alternative to the standard house and land,” stated the UDIA judging panel.

AVA II provided prospective buyers with the choice of 10 two- and three-bedroom townhouses, ranging between $310,000 and $360,000.
