Students venture out for new learnings

Building on our partnership with Cranbourne West Primary School, Wolfdene recently provided funding for the grade 3 and 4 students to venture afield to the National Gallery of Victoria and Werribee Open Range Zoo.

The response from the students was fantastic with the trips enjoying a 100% attendance rate, the most of any excursion in the schools’ recent history!

Moving around the gallery and stopping to discuss how different pieces of art made them feel, the kids also had a turn at creating their own version of a Picasso – with varying success.

At the Zoo, the children got up close and personal with many different animals and took their learnings back to the classroom where they invited family and friends to come and hear about the species they had seen.
